About Alondrea

I am a PhD Candidate in the School of Management and Labor Relations at Rutgers University. I joined the PhD program in 2021. I earned my Master’s degree in Psychology from Auburn University in Montgomery, my Master’s degree in Industrial Relations and Human Resources from Rutgers University, and my Bachelor’s degree in Psychology from Samford University. My research interests focus on interpersonal workplace relationships, human resource management practices, and employee emotions. My current projects include a meta-analysis on workplace ambivalence, examining how large-scale societal changes in the form of mega-trends elicit nostalgia, and the unintended consequences of diversity practices. My research has been presented at the Academy of Management Conference, the East Coast Doctoral Conference, the Southern Management Association Conference, the University of Delaware Learner Management Research Summit, and the Baruch College Research Symposium. I have served as a Doctoral Student Representative for the Human Resources Division of the Academy of Management (AOM), and on committees for the PhD Project and the AOM New Doctoral Student Consortium.
